You can use social networking websites to promote your website. Social networking websites are websites such as MySpace or Facebook, where users keep in touch with friends and meet new people.

I think that spamming those types of websites is not very effective. Some promoters may just try to add as many friends as possible and post as many links as possible. I recommend that you focus on the quality of your networking relationships rather than quantity.

If you just go around giving your link to people you do not know who probably do not want it, then they will just brush you off as a spammer or at least as self-serving and annoying.

However, if you build quality relationships with people involved in your niche, those will help you very much. You can ask your new friends to review your website for you. If you are good friends with them, then they will probably check it out. If they like it, then they will probably tell their friends and spread the word for you on their own. If there are things they do not like about your website, they will tell you and that will help you improve the website.

Building quality relationships requires that you personalize your conversations with people. Avoid using automated software. When you send people a message, make sure you include something specific to them so they know the message was meant for them. Additionally, respond politely when anyone messages you. Ask them polite questions, and get to know them. That’s how you build professional relationships.

You probably realize that you can use social networking websites to promote your website. Firstly, you need to create a profile on popular social networking websites such as MySpace or Facebook.

I recommend building personal relationships. Some people just try to post spam. Instead of just trying to increase your friend count and post a bunch of spammy links all over the place, I recommend you try to build a few good relationships. Make friends with interested people. Really talk to them. Send them the link to your site, tell them that you want to promote it and make it a success, and ask them to review it and give you suggestions.

If you treat the person like a friend, they will often return the favor. At the very least, they will probably check out your website. If you have built a friendship with them and they like your website, they may help you promote it by telling their friends about it. Otherwise, they can help by giving you tips.

Consider their advice. They can tell you the first impressions they have, which you can use to help make your website better for new visitors.

I just launched my Facebook application today. It is basic, but I will probably add more features after a while.

I figure I will want to work out the kinks of the application as it is now before I add any more features. I simply made it into a condition of being able to be launched. I see is as sort of a beta release.

The downside is that it takes up server resources. I hope that if it becomes popular it does not end up costing me more in server resources than it makes me in promotion.

Hopefully, it will work out because I’ve already invested the better part of two days into it. Additionally, if it works out, I can use this new knowledge (of how to build Facebook applications) to build more Facebook applications. At the very least, I will be able to tell you all about how successful it is.

If this application is not a success, I worry that I won’t be inclined to use the knowledge and experience I’ve gained from making it. If it is a success, then I will probably keep working to make it even better and to make more applications either for myself or other people.

I have been working most of the day today figuring out how to make a Facebook application. I am almost done making my first application. I think I might make a lot more, since it will be much easier now that I have already done it. And it will get easier and easier as I get even more used to the Facebook application functionality.

As I have said before, social networking is a great tool for web promotion. Hopefully, if I can create useful applications on Facebook, I will get a lot of valuable promotion in return. It has a very good capacity of going viral.

If you know how to code and program already, then you may want to consider making applications for social networks. If not, you can always consider paying programmers to make applications for you.

For a long time, MySpace has been considered a great place to market and promote websites and internet products. As MySpace has grown in popularity, the popularity of marketing on MySpace has grown.

Personally, I think marketing on MySpace has already lost most of its value. And it will continue to lose whatever value it has left. I have many reasons for thinking that.

For one, MySpace has become overrun with spam. MySpace has so much spam that users have begun ignoring promotional messages. Users no longer take messages or comments seriously on MySpace. By default, most users assume that most messages, comments, and requests are spam.

Also, trying to use MySpace to promote your website or product has become mostly useless because MySpace has added many filters. MySpace automatically bans accounts that send out too many requests, messages, or comments. You can no longer get a bot to send out unlimited requests each day. Also, MySpace now uses redirects for links so the links do not have SEO value anymore.

Also, most marketers have always had trouble with MySpace simply because of the type of users. MySpace users tend not to buy anything, and they quickly leave most websites. In other words, MySpace users have always been poor quality traffic.

You can still promote some on MySpace, but just know that it is drying up. I highly recommend you try utilizing other social networking sites such as Facebook. Also, you may want to try new types of social sites such as social bookmarking websites like StumbleUpon.

Of course, spam usually never works well. As a rule of thumb, you will get more done if you actually participate in these social community. That will get people more interested in you, your website, and your product. Try to network not spam.

I use social networking websites to promote my own sites. While this method usually will not get you tons of traffic, it will get you some. It can be a great way to get a new website started.

Like all promotion methods, you will be wasting your time if your site is not good. The better your site is, the more people will come. Once you get some traffic to a great site, word of mouth will lead to a growing flow of traffic. In contrast, no matter how much traffic you send to a lame site, you will never build a constant stream of traffic.

The reason social networking can be good is that you will be able to contact a bunch of your friends and other contacts with a few clicks. They will be interested to see your site. Encourage them to share it with their friends.

Remember, do not spam. Spam is often counterproductive, and it can get you banned from these sites.
