Nouveau Riche University
I was just looking through a Nouveau Riche University blog called Nouveaurized. I found it very inspiring. Most of all, I was inspired by the success stories written by students who learned how to make money with real estate and then did it. For example, the very first post I read had a testimonial from someone who says he earned $16,000 in income his first week out of the college.
Nouveau Riche University is a popular real estate investment college. It has many classes related to making money with real estate. For example, it has classes about fixing and flipping real estate, about utilizing foreclosures, and about general business financial management.
Nouveaurized, the blog I mentioned earlier, contains stories and posts from alumni students of the university. Normally, I would be skeptical of people who claim to have made a lot of money very quickly. But there is a lot of money in real estate because of how massive the transactions are. If you want to make money, going to school for real estate investment seems like a smart choice.
The point is that you need to get an education in real estate investment to be able to take advantage of all the lucrative business available in the real estate market.

Facebook Applications
I have been working most of the day today figuring out how to make a Facebook application. I am almost done making my first application. I think I might make a lot more, since it will be much easier now that I have already done it. And it will get easier and easier as I get even more used to the Facebook application functionality.
As I have said before, social networking is a great tool for web promotion. Hopefully, if I can create useful applications on Facebook, I will get a lot of valuable promotion in return. It has a very good capacity of going viral.
If you know how to code and program already, then you may want to consider making applications for social networks. If not, you can always consider paying programmers to make applications for you.

Wholesale Body Jewelry
There are many types of internet businesses. One thing you can consider is selling body jewelry. Cheapwholesalejewelry.com is a website that sells wholesale jewelry. So you could buy jewelry from them at wholesale prices and then resell it.
Cheapwholesalejewelry.com doesn’t just offer low prices, but also they focus on quality. They offer all sorts of types of jewelry, including anklets, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. They even have toe rings and animal jewelry.
They ship orders within 24-48 hours, which is good. They accept credit cards and PayPal as forms of payment. And they ship with UPS. Overall, I like their website and their business model.
Like I said, you can use them to order jewelry to resell, or you can order jewelry for yourself.
Don’t Waste Your Money
One thing that surprises me about people who want to start their own internet business is how they waste their money. I can understand people wanting to get away from the whole 9 to 5 rat-race. However, I cannot wrap my head around why they waste what money and resources they can work up.
It takes money to make money. If you want to start a business, you need to invest time and money into it. I recommend you never invest more than you can afford to lose, and never use money you need. In other words, do not invest your rent or food money in your business. However, I suggest you invest any excess money you make in your internet business.
If you want to just have short-term fun, then invest your extra money in games and going out for nights of fun. However, if you want to start a business, invest your money in that.
Web Design Company
I was just looking at the Jacksonville web design page at 352media.com. They have won a few awards and serve some noteworthy clients. Perhaps most importantly, they won 14 Addy Awards in 2006.
They serve people in any region of the country with production offices in various cities throughout the country. They have a team of nearly 50 people, which they can use to meet the custom web development needs of clients. In other words, they can provide specialized service for more than just a few aspects of web development.
They also work with CD and DVD development. So-called “CD business-cards” seem to be gaining in popularity, and 352 Media offers it.
They have a demo reel and a portfolio on their website. I doubt anyone could honestly say that 352 Media does not make good designs.

Auto-Generated Content
A website usually needs good and fresh content to attract visitors. Visitors will not bother to come to your website if it does not have good content, and they will not come back if the website does not regularly and frequently post new content.
It takes a lot of work to continue to create content. So many webmasters find ways to auto-generate content. Auto-generated content can help a webmaster have a great website without having to spend too much time updating it.
However, I recommend avoiding black-hat techniques of auto-generating content by stealing it or by using article spinners or other tools that auto-create a lot of useless content.
I think user-generated content is the best way you can have a website that “auto-generates” content. Consider major websites such as YouTube or MySpace for example. What makes those websites so great is that they are filled with content created by users. Owning websites like those is like running a newspaper or magazine without having to pay the writers.
In my opinion, user-generated content is the future of the internet, and it is of course the basis of what people have called web 2.0.

Business Coaching
If you are having trouble with your small business, or if you just want to improve it, you may want to consider business coaching from an organization such as ActionCoach. According to their website, ActionCoach is the number 1 business coaching firm.
When reading through their sales pitch and description of who needs their service, I really get the feeling that they understand the mind-state of small business owners, especially those in need of coaching.
It also seems they offer free eBooks. Free stuff is always cool.
The ActionCoach website has a lot of information and resources about their services and small business management in general. It seems very complete. It has online tools, such as a business health check. They have business books for sale. They have a newsletter. AuctionCoach definitely seems like a useful resource for small business owners, which includes those who do business online.

Some Free Ways To Promote Your Website
I often stress on this blog that you must base your marketing strategy on having a great, helpful website. You will waste your time trying to market a bad, useless website.
If you have a site worth promoting, let me suggest a few simple ways to promote it for free.
Forum Posting - You can post on internet discussion forums and message boards. Put a link in your signature, and the other users will click on your link to view your site if they find your posts interesting and helpful.
Article Marketing - You can also promote your website for free by writing articles and submitting them to article directories. Put a link to your website in the bottom of the article in the article bio.
Blog Commenting - When you post a comment on a blog, you usually can put in your website URL. You can use this to promote your website. Make sure you post quality comments, or else nobody will bother to visit your website.
You can market your website in a lot of ways, but I hope those suggestions come in handy.

Web Hosting Choice
If you want to have a website, you will need a web host to host your site. If you are in the market for a new website, you can use web hosting choice to help you find a good host.
One thing I like about Web Hosting Choice is that it isn’t covered in ads. Their website has a search feature, so you can find a host and a hosting plan that suits you. There is no one perfect hosting plan because every website has different needs. Some sites are small; some are big. Some sites require lots of bandwidth and not so much disk space, while another site might require the opposite.
It appears that Web Hosting Choice has been in business since 2002. For some reason, I usually find a company more reputable if they have been in business longer.
When you go to Web Hosting Choice, they will just help you find some hosts that might work for you. But since you are under no obligation to buy, I don’t see how it can hurt to use Web Hosting Choice.

Promote Your Website By Giving Away Free Stuff
You can promote your website or online service by giving stuff away for free. People love free stuff.
Giving away free stuff will get people interested in your website or service, and it will build customer loyalty. Additionally, free stuff can make for a great viral marketing campaign. Third-parties will independently spread the word about the free stuff you offer, and the news can spread like a virus, and that will bring you in new website visitors and customers.
For example, if a car dealership offers free car washes, then they can use that to gain publicity and new customers. The free car wash will likely advertise itself in a viral way. And then the car dealership can try to sell cars to the people who come in for a car wash. Even if people do not buy a car immediately, the car wash would have gained enough publicity that people would have the dealership in mind when they do want a car.
You really cannot make it on the internet unless you give something away for free. Take this blog right here for example. You all come here because I give away free information and advice about internet business.
In fact, information is the number one commodity on the internet. Great website content (which is free information for your web visitors) is the most important part of most marketing strategies.
Whatever you do, you want to give something related to your product away for free.

Voting Polls
Web visitors love to interact with websites. One great interactive feature you can add to your website is online voting polls. Easy-poll.com is a website that offers free polls for webmasters.
The best part about easy-poll.com is that they manage everything with the web components they offer. So, for example, you do not need to use any databases or such on your server. They handle and calculate everything on their server.
It’s free, all you have to do is sign up. They offer “yes or no” polls as well as multiple choice polls.
Polls are a very popular feature for websites. Users like to have the chance to easily submit their opinion and then see the results from everyone else.
Submitting to Directories
For a long time, internet business gurus have recommended submitting to directories as a way to promote a site. The main advantage of submitting to directories is SEO (search engine optimization). The main way that major search engines rank a site in their listings is by link popularity.
As the search engines, name Google, improve their algorithms, they are becoming better at deciphering organic links from unnatural links. Paid links and directory links are losing value in the search engines. Nonetheless, it seems they still do help.
However, if you submit too many links too quickly, you will set off spam filters in the search engines. If you do that, the search engines might discount the links or penalize your site in the rankings.
For that reason, you will maximize your time and effort if you only submit to a few directories at a time. I would suggest to submit to only a few per day at most.
Additionally, you want to vary your anchor text. If each of your links has the same exact anchor text, then the search engines will see that as unnatural.
