Will Social Bookmarking Beat Search Engines?
Search engines have been the number one way information and news has been organized on the internet for a long time. When people find new websites, most of them used a search engine to do it. Most websites get most of their traffic from search engines.
However, I think search engines cannot keep up with all the new developments on the internet. Web 2.0 has lead to a user-input-focused internet.
Social bookmarking allows users to rate websites, and uses algorithms to figure which websites certain users will probably like most based on their previous ratings. This offers a lot of potential.
I think social bookmarking websites may surpass search engines. What do you think?

I think this is a false dichotomy. It’s like saying TV is going to replace radio. People did say that, they said it a lot, and they said it for years, and they were in most respects wrong. Now, granted, the day when family gathered around a radio in the evening are gone, but the format has survived. I feel that social bookmarking sites and search engines do very different things, and they are both here to stay.
By the way, do you have an RSS feed? I was looking, and I didn’t find one.

This will never happen IMO. It will become more popular, however never as much as just a search
