You just need to find a forum that is related to the topic of your site or is related to the product you sell. You just need to read a little bit and then post some interesting reply to someone else’s views. Never forget to put a link of your site at the bottom of your post. It would promote your site quite well and you won’t have to spend a dime for it.
Joining some social bookmarking site would also work quite well. You would find that social bookmarking communities have great networks that have members having different tastes and different views. You can take advantage of it and use it for your site promotion.
